Our beginnings go back to the year 2001 when owner and photographer Tracy Pote transformed her one-car garage at home into a photography studio where she started doing sexy but classy photo shoots for clients. Tracy soon shifted to wedding photography but never gave up on her boudoir photography concept that she would revisit in 2008 when she opened her first photography studio in West Carrollton, Ohio. In 2010 Tracy moved her studio to its current location – the historic “Little House” in Downtown Dayton, Ohio. Soon Tracy partnered with her landlord-turned-husband Billy Pote and business started to grow enough so that Tracy stopped doing weddings to focus on boudoir photography full-time. With Billy managing the business end of things, Tracy has been able to focus on the creative side, and in just a few short years our studio has grown to a team of some of the most talented photographers, makeup artists and hairstylists in the region.

“I’ve been a professional photographer since 2001 and have always had a passion for photography and making people feel beautiful. As a wedding photographer I started getting requests from my clients for intimate pictures for their husbands-to-be. After several sessions I received many cards and emails expressing what an amazing time they had, with comments like “I have never felt more gorgeous or confident before”, and “these images brought me to tears.” I knew I was on to something, and in 2006 Blush Boudoir was born. Even then, I knew that I wanted to make a boudoir session something that a woman does for herself – from the glamorous experience of the professional make-up and hair, the fun of the actual shoot, and finally – to having stunning pictures that show each of my clients as her best and most beautiful self.””I absolutely love shooting beauty and boudoir photography, and finding the right balance for each client. My camera can reveal things when words can simply not describe those real moments that happen with each session. But a Blush Boudoir experience is about so much more than the photographs – it can be a transformational experience for any woman. I truly believe my passion for making my clients feel at ease in front of the camera and bringing out the best in each and every one of them is the key to my success, and the reason many of my clients have come back for their second and even third shoots.” – Tracy
“I was in the 6th grade when I received my first film camera, and once I snapped my first roll of film and saw what I captured, I was in love. Ever since then I knew what my life’s passion and future career would be – it’s a love that I never want to stop learning from! In 2010 with the support of my loving husband, I started Jessica Ashley Photography, and since then I’ve grown and found my voice in a field so full of wonderful artists. I did my own Blush Boudoir session in 2014 and knew it was something I would love to capture/create myself as a photographer. I just loved the way I felt before, during & after; it was such a freeing experience that all women should have at least once in their lives. And now I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful Blush team where I will help other women see their own beauty! ” – Jessica
Danielle is a portrait photographer in Beavercreek, Ohio. Growing up, she watched her grandpa document every occasion with photographs - from holiday get-togethers to grocery store shopping errands. When she took a film photography class in high school, it was official - photography was her passion. It wasn't until her second child was born in 2013 that she finally turned her passion into a business. Over the last four years she has loved not only creating beautiful portraits, but also creating amazing experiences for her clients.
Just like with Jessica, Danielle was actually a client at Blush Studio (and Jessica was her photographer). "I originally scheduled my Blush session as a gift for my husband’s 30th birthday. What I didn’t expect was for it to be a gift for me as well. The session took me out of reality for a bit and allowed me to see myself as a person again - not just a mom, just a wife, or just a daughter. I was a little nervous going in but felt relaxed, confident, and beautiful by the end. I’m excited to work at Blush so I can be a part of giving that same experience to other women." - Danielle
“As a hair stylist, it is my joy to see the greatest beauty potential in every client, and to turn that potential into reality. My professional skills allow me to help each client achieve whatever look they desire, whether it is super glamorous or effortlessly natural (Hair By Hannah). Being a part of the Blush Boudoir team means I get to help create sexy and stunning looks that will last longer than just a day through the beautiful images produced. We offer an absolutely unique experience, and I am thrilled to be apart of such a lovely team!” – Hannah
“While attending the Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana, CA as a theater major, I discovered my passion for makeup artistry while taking a required stage makeup course. I realized I loved the behind the scenes aspect of performances more than anything else. My passion led me to Las Vegas, NV where I attended L Makeup Institute and received a certification in TV/Film/Photography makeup. I have been doing makeup in the Dayton/Cincinnati area ever since (Trista Noe Makeup Artistry). I am skilled at doing natural makeup for weddings and senior portraits, but absolutely love to do the more dramatic, sexy looks of a boudoir session. I have also been a freelance artist for companies such as Vincent Longo, Bare Minerals, and Calvin Klein. I am so excited to be part of the talented Blush Boudoir team, and for the opportunity to make every client gorgeous!” – Trista

“Upon graduating from Ohio University, I moved to New York City to begin my career as an artist. I love all things creative but I’ve always had a special connection to the art of make-up. I’ve done make-up for Sony Music Recording Artists, American Idol winners, catalog shoots, music videos, and even events at the White House. After fifteen years of living and working in New York, raising a family brought me back to my hometown – Dayton, Ohio. I’m excited about the opportunity to team up with Blush Boudoir and share my love of make-up, creativity & transformation with all of our clients.” – Monica
“After graduating from Paul Mitchell the School in Columbus six years ago, I didn’t waste time at all pursuing my dreams in the beauty industry. I’ve had the opportunity to attend workshops, trainings and even take part in hair shows both locally and across the United States. Working along side some of the industry’s best stylists has broadened my horizons and encouraged me to try new things. Being a Paul Mitchell stylist isn’t just a choice it’s a family that I embrace and what all of my guests to feel. I am a part of the beauty industry because I love making people feel their best. Working with Blush Boudoir has been such an amazing opportunity. Not only is the experience one guests will always remember, but capturing the best part of them and framing the moment is one that will last forever. “I am a freelance hair artist (SweetlyPinned.com) and I’ve been in the cosmetology field for the past 5 years. I’ve always known I wanted to be in the cosmetology field ever since I can remember. I was always doing my mom’s and sister’s hair trying to make them look glamorous, and then pursued my dreams after graduating with my Ohio State Board of Cosmetology license in 2009 at Miami Valley Career Tech Center. With Continuing Education Classes and attending Hair Shows, I work my hardest to stay up on current fashion and new exciting hair trends. “Ever since I was very young I always enjoyed making other people feel beautiful. When I was in high school I used to do other classmates’ hair for dances and then had hardly anytime to do my own! In 2008 I started school at the Aveda Institute in Columbus. I was incredibly happy with my education and felt like it was a great starting point to a career where I could continue to make others happy and feel great about themselves. While I have loved working in a salon atmosphere for the past seven years, I have found a new passion over the last year in working with photographers. Seeing a client in front of the camera and feeling beautiful is so incredibly gratifying! I specialize in all different hair types and textures and can guarantee that you’ll feel beautiful and sexy. I love to see a woman’s natural beauty shine through! I’m so excited to be working with the talented team at Blush Boudoir and can’t wait for what lie ahead!” – Ashley
Studio Manager / Co-Owner“I actually started my life with Blush Studio as the landlord for the current studio when I met Tracy in January 2010. Little did I know at the time that one day we would start dating and eventually become partners in business as well as life (we got married on 10/1/2016)! We’ve been business partners since 2012 and since then we’ve grown Blush Studio from two people to a team of fourteen (and growing)! While Tracy and the team focus on the photography sessions, I am responsible for accounting, technology, marketing, business development and generally just keeping things organized. Oh, and I also keep things fixed at the studio – not an easy task with a partner who is constantly wanting to change things!” “Before joining Blush Studio, I was a founder and publisher of the online magazine Dayton Most Metro and also worked in the information technology field since 1999 after a past life in the bar and restaurant industry. I’m excited and proud of how we’ve grown Blush Studio, and look forward to continuing to grow with the help of the most talented team ever put together (see above)!” – Billy
