We stepped this 420 blazing shoot up a notch and almost blazed the house down in the process!

Jasmine, one of our favorite clients who’s graced our studio more than once, joined us again for an incredible boudoir session—but this time, we decided to change things up. Instead of shooting in our usual studio, we invited Jasmine to our home, making the whole experience feel more personal with a change of scenery. Victoria and I were behind the cameras for this shoot, while Payton, as always, worked her magic with hairstyling and makeup artistry, making sure Jasmine looked absolutely radiant.

We planned on starting in the hot tub room as it has lots of natural light streaming throughout, great textures, tones, plants and candles. Billy, helped me create the perfect set by adding a few of his flowering cannabis plants, which really added to the vibe we were going for. We had spent hours getting everything set up for the big day.

Of course, no great story comes without a little drama. While Jasmine was getting glammed, a candle I had lit for ambiance outside our hot tub room accidentally caught fire! It scorched the side of the room, broke a huge window, and took out a few plants, including one of Billy’s prized cannabis plants. It was a heart-pounding moment as everyone jumped into action and Billy managed to put out the flames. He had to knock out the window in order for us to be able to continue our plan of using the hot tub room!

Interestingly enough, that broken window ended up being a blessing in disguise - at least for this shoot. It gave Victoria and me a unique opportunity to shoot Jasmine from outside in, creating a beautiful, soft light effect as it poured into the room. The accident added an unexpected layer of creativity to the shoot, allowing us to capture stunning shots we hadn’t planned for!

Once the sun set, we moved outside to the garage gym, which was the perfect setting for some edgier, high-energy shots. The change of atmosphere was awesome, and Jasmine absolutely killed it—effortlessly transitioning from soft and sensual to fierce bad b*tch energy!

What could have been a total disaster turned out to be one of the most memorable and successful shoots we’ve ever done. It’s funny how things work out sometimes—who knew a little fire could spark so much creativity? This shoot reminded me that in boudoir, as in life, it’s the unexpected moments that often turn out to be the most beautiful and memorable. Making art is a place where we can make our own rules (which I love). Coming together with my fellow artists was a magical experience!!! - Tracy
